Marmara Forum

About this place

Marmara Forum is one of Istanbul’s major modern shopping centers, opened in 2011 and designed as a large-scale contemporary retail and leisure complex. Its architecture follows the international mall style, with broad interior promenades, multi-level galleries, glass surfaces, and spacious food and entertainment areas. Beyond shopping, it functions as a social hub for the Bakırköy and Zeytinburnu side of the city, bringing together global brands, dining, and family-oriented attractions. The complex is especially popular with locals seeking an all-in-one indoor venue.

Getting there: The nearest stop is Zeytinburnu Metro and Marmaray station, about 1,400 meters away, roughly 18–20 minutes on foot; several city buses also stop closer along Çobançeşme Koşuyolu Avenue within about 200–400 meters, or 3–6 minutes’ walk.

Note: Entry to the mall is free, but weekends and evenings can be very crowded, especially around the food court and cinema hours. For a calmer visit, arrive on weekday mornings or early afternoons. Wear comfortable shoes, as the complex is large and involves substantial walking across multiple levels.
