Rahmi M. Koç Museum is one of Istanbul’s leading industrial museums, founded in 1994 in restored Ottoman-era dockyard and factory buildings along the Golden Horn. Its collections focus on transport, industry, communications, and engineering, displaying everything from classic cars and locomotives to maritime vessels and scientific instruments. The architecture combines historic brick-and-stone industrial structures with carefully adapted exhibition halls, giving the site both heritage value and a distinctive waterfront character.

Getting there: The nearest stop is Hasköy on the T5 tram line, about 350 meters away, roughly a 5-minute walk. It is also reachable from the Golden Horn shoreline by bus and taxi, with easy access from Beyoğlu and Eminönü.

Note: Plan at least 2 to 3 hours, as the museum campus is large and includes outdoor exhibits, historic vehicles, and occasionally boardable vessels. Weekends and school holidays are busier, so weekday mornings are usually more comfortable for families and photography.
