Emirgan Park
Emirgan Korusu

About this place
Emirgan Park is one of Istanbul’s largest and most elegant historic urban parks, spread across the Bosphorus hillside in Sarıyer. Once part of an Ottoman-era estate associated with pavilions and landscaped gardens, it is known today for broad lawns, winding paths, ponds, and seasonal flower displays, especially the famous spring tulips. Its design blends natural slopes, wooded areas, and scenic viewpoints, giving the park a refined yet relaxed character.
Getting there: The nearest major public transport stop is Emirgan bus stop on the coastal road, about 350 m away, around 5 minutes on foot uphill depending on the entrance used.
Note: Wear comfortable shoes because the park includes sloped paths and long walking routes. Spring weekends during tulip season are the busiest, so visiting early in the morning is best for photos, shade, and easier seating at the pavilions and cafés.
