Cemile Sultan Grove

Cemile Sultan Korusu is a historic grove on the Asian side of Istanbul, associated with the late Ottoman period and named after Princess Cemile Sultan. Set on a hillside above the Bosphorus, it combines landscaped gardens, mature trees, terraces, and elegant social facilities rather than a single monumental building. Its character reflects the refined leisure culture of Ottoman waterfront estates, while today it is valued for panoramic views, greenery, and a calm atmosphere for walks and gatherings.

Getting there: The nearest major stop is Küçüksu bus stop, about 500 m away, around 7–8 minutes on foot uphill. From Üsküdar, buses toward Beykoz or Küçüksu provide the most practical public transport connection. Visitors arriving by ferry to the Asian side usually continue by bus or taxi.

Note: Wear comfortable shoes, as paths and access roads can be sloped. Weekends and wedding-event hours are noticeably busier, especially around the restaurant and viewpoint terraces. Spring and early evening are especially pleasant, but bring a light layer in windy weather near the Bosphorus.
